Score for the Cure 2010, the Second Annual Tournament, was a huge success. Hosted by Pennington School graduates Renee Washington ’10 and Alexa DeMaio ’10, the event hosted 20 teams overall with 80 girls’ in attendance. Parents, siblings, and friends were there to cheer on the teams as well as Ed Moran, son of Charlotte Moran, and Alex, a representative from the Philadelphia Independence. We were able to give away a lot of cool paraphernalia including Pennington School T-shirts and sweatshirts; Philadelphia Independence and Sky Blue tickets, pennants, autographed T-shirts, soccer balls, and more; and various gear from LaSalle University, The University of Vermont, Villanova University, and the coveted autographed ball from NCAA Champion UNC women’s soccer team. At the conclusion of the tournament, all finalists received a trophy and free tickets to see a Philadelphia Independence game. Thank you to everyone who attended and/or helped!
