In 2009, recent Pennington School graduates Amber Brooks ’09 and Heidi Sabatura ’09 hosted a 3v3 soccer tournament for girls ages 10-14.  It was a charitable event in honor of Charlotte Moran, who died in May 2009 after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.  The event was called “Score for the Cure” and it was a great success.  Continuing the tradition in 2010, Pennington graduates Renee Washington ’10 and Alexa DeMaio ’10 hosted Score for the Cure in an effort to benefit not only the Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research, in honor of Charlotte Moran, but also to benefit friend Jamie Botteon and her family in their fight against Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML).  Pennington seniors Meg Castranova '11 and Shannon Roche '11 hosted the Third Annual Score for the Cure in 2011.   Nicole Baxter '12 hosted the Score for the Cure in 2012 and this year Jessica Ratner '13 is in charge, bringing you the Fifth Annual Score for the Cure 3v3 girls soccer tournament on June 14, 2013!
